Finding a new way…

Gathering again!  Over the last few weeks, our staff had the opportunity to come together with supporters and friends and connect in conversation.  We loved the chance to share our experiences over the past year and our hopes for 2021 and beyond.

Coffee and Conversation with Diane Hunt, Executive Director and CEO

What a joy to join our partners at Christ Covenant Church in Matthews in our first (virtual) Coffee and Conversation to share client updates, programming development and current volunteer opportunities.  I was so excited to engage in one of the best parts of my job–meeting and connecting with new and established supporters of Changed Choices’ work.  I look forward to connecting, in person and virtually, with more small groups ready to join in supporting the wonderful women we serve.

Kids Club at Hawthorne Lane United Methodist Church with Katie Gauntner, Director of Development

I had such a fun time sharing my new favorite book, Milo Imagines the World, with the elementary school Kids Club members!  The club will be sending 30 cards of encouragement to our Pre-release clients this month, and had amazing questions and concerns to share.  Amazing questions from the kids–What kind of food do the women eat?  How are they able to talk to their families?  Do they know the Lord?  Each thoughtful question showed a heart for service, sharing with others and reminded me how grateful I am to be a part of Changed Choices

Coming Home with Lindsay Knuckles, Pre-Release Manager

We are less than a month from welcoming our next client to the Ruth Snyder Home.  Each time we talk, she is excited and ready to start the next chapter in her story.  Our programming team is overjoyed to gather with her and be a part of her transition back into our community.  “Working on and achieving my goals has helped me know I am ready for new challenges.”

As we mindfully start to meet and gather, we would love the opportunity to share about Changed Choices with you.  Please contact Diane Hunt at diane@changedchoices.org.
